ADNEC Participates in Defence and Security Equipment International 2015 at ExCeL London

Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) is participating in the 2015 edition of Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI), the world’s leading integrated event for the display of aerospace, land, maritime and security capabilities currently underway at ADNEC-owned ExCeL London.

ADNEC’s participation in DSEI seeks to promote the inaugural edition of the Abu Dhabi Aviation and Aerospace Week (ADAAW) and the second Unmanned System Exhibition (UMEX Abu Dhabi), the only exhibition of its kind in the region dedicated to unmanned systems and technologies used in air, land and marine operations and the inaugural edition of Simulation Exhibition and Conference held under the umbrella of UMEX Abu Dhabi.

Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Acting Group CEO, Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC), said: “ADNEC’s participation in DSEI is primarily to meet and network with the most influential players and decision makers in the global defence and aviation industries, in addition to showcasing our unique capabilities and state-of-the-art facilities to the officials and participants attending this important event in the UK capital. We are also using this platform to promote our upcoming defence and security events especially the 2017 editions of IDEX and NAVDEX, along with UMEX Abu Dhabi and Simulation Exhibition and Conference”

He added: “At DSEI, we are highlighting the key opportunities and advantages of participating in Abu Dhabi Aviation and Aerospace Week and UMEX Abu Dhabi which will shape both events into the most definitive defence and security shows in the world. Additionally, we are inviting DSEI participants to ADAAW, which will allow them to showcase their latest technologies and build strategic business alliances with reputed firms and decision makers from around the world.”

Set to run from March 6 to 12, 2016, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the upcoming edition of the biennial ADAAW will include the second Unmanned System Exhibition (UMEX Abu Dhabi), first Simulation Conference and Exhibition, third Global Aerospace Summit, and fourth edition of the Abu Dhabi Air Expo, as well as the first edition of the Middle East Aviation Career Exhibition & Conference and the eighth Red Bull Air Race.

Organised by ADNEC, UMEX 2016, which includes the first Simulation Exhibition and Conference under its umbrella, is expected to draw the participation of nearly 100 local and global defence system manufacturers, specialised in unmanned systems and technologies used in air, land and marine operations. The event will be attended by high profile government delegations, and civil and military organisations.

ADNEC offers 133,000 sq m of inter-connected floor space to match the expectations of a wide variety of events and exhibitions. Equipped with modern facilities and built to international standards, the venue attracted 1.6 million people across 327 events in 2014.
